Incumbents will serve as a Motor Vehicle Operator operating passenger bus for the park: Operates a 24-35 passenger bus on scheduled or special runs from one location to another. Performs custodial and minor maintenance tasks and repairs. Performs routine and preventative maintenance on passenger buses. Directs vehicular and pedestrian traffic. Provides visitors information to the public. Physical Demands: Moderate physical effort is needed by this position in operating, turning, backing, and controlling vehicles which carry heavy loads or a large number of people. Required to infrequently lift items weighing over 50 pounds. Considerable physical effort may be required to change tires and make limited emergency repairs, such as replacing an electrical fuse on open roads or highways. Working Conditions: Incumbent is required to work outside and is exposed to dust, dirt wind, rain, and extreme hot and cold temperatures. Operates vehicles in all types of traffic and weather on public roads and is exposed to the danger of serious accidents.
