JOB SUMMARY: Located at Pinnacles National Park, with a duty location of Paicines, CA. Incumbent of this position will develop/lead a full range of formal interpretive programs including talks, hikes, evening programs, and other special programs; coordinate day-to-day operations of a visitor center including schedule development, and assist with coordination of special events for the district. MAJOR DUTIES: The major duties of the Park Ranger (Interpretation) position include, but are not limited to, the following: Serves as the volunteer coordinator for Pinnacles National Park. Research, develop and present interpretive talks and programs for diverse audiences, both inside and outside of the park. Manage all aspects of a high quality interpretive program. Communicate effectively with visitors and representatives of external groups such as Park partners, neighboring communities, agencies, etc. Coordinates community engagement activities with external partners, community members, and staff.
