The Tower Structure Onshore department plays a crucial role in the wind industry by designing innovative and reliable tower structures for both steel and concrete tower technologies. Responsibilities
- Conducted and reported on FEA for large steel structures, bolted connections, and flanges in ANSYS APDL, ensuring accurate results
- Modify and optimize ANSYS APDL scripts and Python code to support FEA work
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across regions, maintaining alignment on project goals and deadlines
- Guide and mentor junior team members, providing guidance and supporting interactions with Certification bodies when required
- Document and present analysis results clearly to stakeholders, ensuring effective communication of complex findings
Qualifications
- A minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in Finite Element Analysis (FEA), with a high background in stress analysis under both static and dynamic loading conditions
- Expertise in ANSYS APDL and Python, with proven experience in modifying and optimizing code for FEA work, specifically for large steel structures, bolts, and flanges
- Master's degree or higher in Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- In-depth understanding of FEA theory and practical applications, particularly for bolted connections, large flanges, and steel plates
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex structural problems and develop effective solutions

- Good organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and coordinate multiple responsibilities to meet deadlines without compromising the quality of work
- A clear, big communicator who can explain complex technical concepts and analysis results to stakeholders at all levels, including those outside of the technical team
- Proactive in identifying and addressing issues, and skilled at managing expectations to ensure tasks are aligned with project goals
- Capable of maintaining a professional and collaborative approach while team priorities are effectively maintained and the integrity of the work is upheld
