In our department we are responsible amongst others to support the region in the effective execution of onshore Service contracts operating wind turbines at the expected performance and the lowest possible cost level.
As a Lead Projects Controls, you will engage with various stakeholders to mature new cost control methods for service contracts. You will monitor cost applications, assess risks and opportunities, and develop business case scenarios. You will also liaise with resource managers across Vestas and be a key member of the LATAM Project Management team.
Main areas of responsibility:
- Budget, plan, and complete multiple projects and tasks.
- Ensure delivery within cost targets.
- Convert system data into valuable insights for the Management Team.
- Interface with a wide range of stakeholders across the value chain.
- Report on service contract progress, project milestones, issues, and risks through weekly dashboard reports.
- Foster an Agile Way of Working.
Qualifications:
- Have experience with project management
- Have experience with projects financial reporting
- Have a degree in engineering or similar areas
- Have experience using SAP and Power BI
- Proficient communication/presentation skills in English, Portuguese, both verbally and in writing, as you will be working within a global multi-cultural environment
- Spanish desirable but not restricted.
- Fundamental understanding of wind turbine components desirable.
- For internal candidates, one year in the same role and/or at Vestas.
