JOB SUMMARY: This position is located in Castillo de San Marcos National Monument. This position is being advertised concurrently under Merit Promotion Announcement # NPS-IRA-25-12620740-ST. MAJOR DUTIES: Career-Seasonal appointments are permanent positions and include the same benefits as Career appointments, but do not provide work on a year-round basis. You will work from approximately April- December and will be in a non-pay status for the remainder of the year. Major duties of the position include are but are not limited to: Carries out sea turtle nesting surveys, distinguishes nests from false crawls, monitors nests, and performs post-hatching evaluations. Carries out nesting shorebird surveys, identifies nesting behavior, and monitors chicks through to fledging. Implements invasive plant management activities parkwide.
