This role can be fully remote or hybrid – a mix of office and remote. The selected candidate will be integrated into our regions engineering team working across Texas and Louisiana.

Position Description:
We are seeking a professional with a minimum of 12 years of experience and a wide range of knowledge and practice with remediation, environmental engineering design, construction and OM&M that can be integrated across our diverse portfolio of clients and projects.
Preferred candidates will have experience leading and/or supporting complex remedial projects – from inception with proposal preparation to remedial evaluation, engineering design, management and execution of field work, reporting and client communications.
Preferred candidates will perform well in a leading or supporting capacity with other professionals and possess the willingness and disposition to mentor engineering staff.
The selected candidate will report to the Mid-Atlantic engineering manager and may be assigned junior or mid-level staff with time.
Preferred Experience and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Chemical, Civil or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline (Master degree plus)
- Professional engineering (PE) license in Louisiana
- At least 12 years of related experience
- Demonstrated experience and in-depth knowledge of groundwater, soil, and soil vapor characterization and remedial techniques and technologies
- Demonstrated experience with managing large-scale and complex environmental sites involving hazardous and mixed wastes, free-phase product, etc.
- Demonstrated experience with cost estimating and bid preparation including technical proposal writing
- Experience with implementing pilot tests, engineering principles of design, installation and construction
- Experience with OM&M of remediation systems, treatment processes and optimization
- Experience with environmental compliance and/or permitting (NPDES, Air Quality, SPCC, EC&S).
- Demonstrated ability to lead and/or support project teams with excellent internal as well as excellent external client and regulatory communication skills
- Ability to foster collaborative and productive work relationships including interfacing with company-wide engineering/subject matter expert (SME) groups and mentoring and training of junior and mid-level staff
- Considers health and safety (H&S) a core value in their everyday professional and personal life
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Leading and/or supporting project teams with complex remedial evaluation, engineering design, management and execution of field work, reporting and client communications.
- Establish priorities for the completion of work in accordance with sound time-management methodology. Must be resourceful with excellent communication and writing skills and possess a high degree of initiative and time management skills.
- Act as the lead engineer on client and bid proposal efforts as well as other life-cycle and order of magnitude costing efforts
- Assist clients and project teams across various industries with environmental compliance and/or permitting (SPCC, NPDES, E&S Controls, and etc.)
- Reviews plans, specifications, and technical reports prepared by junior and mid-level staff
- Mentors and coaches junior and mid-level staff on complex remediation activities
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the regional engineering manager
- Role may include Project Manager responsibilities depending on the candidate
