ISS STOXX is seeking an experienced UK-based marketing professional to support the growth of our ESG business. This person will help with marketing and client engagement for the ESG business with a focus on our ever-evolving product suite (ranging from ESG raw data to thematic solutions such as climate & nature to engagement solutions) while positioning the company as a leader in decision-useful, transparent, and trusted sustainability & climate data, research and analytics and generating marketing qualified leads.
Responsibilities include product launches, lead generation, media planning and delivery, marketing asset creation (including messaging & copywriting) and distribution, and channel management. Reporting to the Global Head of ESG Marketing, this person will be responsible for promoting the unique value proposition associated with ISS STOXX’s ESG solution suite. To this end, the candidate would need to understand the needs of the end users well and keep abreast of market developments.
The candidate will be responsible for managing the ESG product launch/enhancement calendar with a focus on developing and leading / driving programs that drive awareness, new lead generation and client retention. In this regard, the jobholder will be expected to build strong, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across various ISS STOXX teams and ensure all activities are consistent and aligned with the goals of the business.
Responsibilities:
Plan and execute carefully considered product-focused go-to-market strategies and marketing campaigns/activities. Equal attention and due diligence to be applied to both near-term lead generation, including cross- and upselling, and mid/long term awareness building and growth.
Responsible for deepening client / end user understanding to continually improve marketing planning, engagement and optimize ongoing marketing performance including segment and user-based marketing.
Ensure the marketing activities are fully aligned to the business plan. Contribute to ESG marketing plan.
Collaborate and partner with colleagues in the various businesses and functions (e.g., Research, Product, Sales, Client Success, Marketing, etc.) to support the ESG marketing plan and sales goals.
Responsible for deploying a mix of both traditional and modern marketing tactics, consciously selected for efficacy. Also responsible for helping enhance our digital marketing capabilities. Includes enhancement of social media presence, performance marketing (inc. email marketing), digital advertising, etc.
Collaborate with marketing partners across ISS STOXX to evolve client and prospect communications to increase impact.
Collaborate with the communications team to raise brand awareness through traditional media channels and enhance social media presence.
Responsible for reporting marketing ROI and making recommendations for future product marketing initiatives.
Requirements:
University degree in business, marketing or a related field.
ESG / sustainability/ climate product marketing experience.
Substantial experience in leading brand and B2B multi-channel marketing programs.
Relevant Financial Services industry experience strongly preferred with focus on managing financial products & services.
Experience with stakeholder engagement coupled with exceptional communication and writing skills.
Strategic thinker and problem solver with deep commercial awareness. Proven background in developing effective, client-focused creative solutions married to data-driven brand and marketing programs.
Experience with sales enablement and/or marketing technology platforms (e.g., HubSpot) including demonstrated success analyzing and presenting data from platforms to guide future action. Analytical and results oriented.
Able to work at both strategic and tactical levels, generate innovative ideas and manage the execution of campaigns and projects that span multiple teams.
Self-starter with entrepreneurial mindset - proven proactive track record.
