We therefore are looking for a talented and motivated Risk & Sustainability Manager to join our team and lead the change in managing risk while guiding us through the complexities of sustainability reporting.
Your role As our Risk & Sustainability Manager, you will be at the heart of a strategic initiative to enhance our sustainability efforts while managing key risks that could impact our future. You’ll take ownership of our risk management framework, work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the company complies with Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and EU Taxonomy reporting requirements, and drive sustainability initiatives that make a real difference.
In this role, you’ll be working with a collaborative team, where your ideas will shape our approach to sustainability reporting and internal controls. You'll have the chance to influence both the strategy and execution of our risk management policies and corporate sustainability practices.
Your main tasks - Take ownership of CSRD, EU Taxonomy and ESG reporting: Work closely with internal teams and external partners to prepare and create sustainability reports that comply with CSRD standards, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
- Lead risk management initiatives: Develop, implement, and continuously monitor risk strategies that support the company’s growth while managing potential risks.
- Drive sustainability certifications: Coordinate sustainability certifications and ensure compliance with industry standards, helping us maintain our commitment to sustainability.
Additional objectives connected with the main tasks: - Build and implement policies: Create and develop corporate policies that align with legal requirements and company values, ensuring smooth implementation across all departments.
- Establish internal controls: Design and optimize an internal control system that ensures compliance, efficiency, and continuous improvement in line with company objectives.
You will be great for this position if you have
- Experience: You have 3+ years of professional experience in sustainability reporting, risk management or similar areas. You like to tackle new challenges and are ready to learn about CSRD and EU Taxonomy, even if you don't have direct experience with these frameworks.
- Analytical skills:You’re detail-oriented, process-driven, and able to approach complex problems with a solution-focused mindset.
- Communication:You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in both German and English, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders.
- Growth mindset:You’re motivated to learn new concepts and take on responsibility for areas like sustainability reporting, internal controls, and policy development.
- Team player:You thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with different teams to ensure the success of sustainability initiatives and risk management strategies.
