MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented HR Specialist with expertise in Compensation & Benefits to join our dynamic international team on a temporary basis to cover a maternity leave. This role is critical in supporting administrative and compensation-related processes across multiple European countries, as well as the maintenance and configuration of our HR systems.
As the primary point of contact for compensation & benefits and HR software tools, you will ensure smooth operations while delivering high-quality support to internal stakeholders.
This is a
12-month maternity leave cover position, with the potential for extension. It is ideal for a fast learner who thrives in a dynamic, multicultural environment and is eager to take on challenges and make a meaningful impact.
Main responsibilitiesHR Administration & Compliance:- Handle HR administrative tasks, including processing new hires, terminations, and data changes, issuing employment documents and managing correspondence with local authorities.
- Respond to employee inquiries and oversee the HR inbox.
- Support audits by preparing and coordinating documentation for compliance and payroll reviews.
HR Systems & Data Management:- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee data within the HRIS software.
- Configure and optimize HR systems to enhance process efficiency.
Payroll and Bonus Administration:- Prepare and process monthly payrolls for multiple European countries in collaboration with external payroll partners, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and manage payroll-related documentation.
- Set up and maintain the company’s bonus structure in the bonus software and proactively manage and coordinate the quarterly bonus process. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy, alignment and timeliness of submission.
Benefits Management:- Administer employee benefits across multiple countries and coordinate with external vendors.
- Manage employment for staff under an Employer of Record arrangement, including setup, contracts, pay, and benefits.
Reporting & Projects:- Generate regular HR reports on headcount, compensation, benefits, and other key metrics.
- Contribute to HR projects and initiatives as needed, such as the implementation of Workday (HRIS).

LOCATION
- Munich: hybrid working system
Your backpack is filled with
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration or Finance, or similar qualification and relevant experience
- Several years of HR experience managing international payroll and understanding diverse regulatory landscapes across EU/EMEA countries, especially Germany where our EMEA Headquarter is based.
- Proven experience in managing and processing complex bonus systems
- Vocational trainer certification (“Ausbildereignung”)
- Strong digital proficiency with the ability to intuitively navigate software tools and applications, quickly understanding underlying processes, interdependencies and data flows
- Experience with HRIS (ideally Personio and Workday) is required, incentive compensation software is a plus
- Fully proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; PowerBI and other MS apps are a plus.
