Responsibilities

Your Role:

As a Credit and Collections Specialist you will be responsible for managing the company’s credit policies and collecting outstanding debts from customers. This role requires a detail-oriented and analytical individual who can effectively communicate with clients, resolve disputes, and ensure timely payments while maintaining positive customer relationships.

Evaluate and approve credit applications based on company criteria.
Monitor customer accounts to identify overdue payments.
Contact customers to discuss their accounts and arrange payment plans if necessary.
Resolve billing and payment discrepancies by working with internal departments and
customers.
Prepare and send out invoices and account statements to customers.
Maintain accurate records of all collections activities and customer communications.
Prepare reports on the status of accounts and collections activities.
Ensure compliance with all company policies and industry regulations regarding credit and collections.
Assist in the development and implementation of credit policies and procedures.
Provide excellent customer service to maintain positive relationships with clients.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

High school diploma or equivalent; an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field is preferred.
Proven experience as a credit and collections specialist or in a similar role.
Strong understanding of credit and collections processes and principles.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Waste industry experience preferred.
