Lumina is looking for a Solar/Roofing Maintenance Technician to support our Energy Services Maintenance team in Palm, Pennsylvania.
The Technician will play a multifaceted role in our roofing operations, encompassing not only roof leak investigations but also conducting thorough roof surveys, performing maintenance tasks, and executing repairs with precision and expertise. This versatile individual will be instrumental in upholding the integrity and longevity of our clients' roofing systems. While this role will be focused on roofing repairs, it will also support our Solar Maintenance team in troubleshooting, removal and reinstalls, and other service work as needed.
In this role, you'll get to:
Conduct comprehensive roof surveys to assess conditions, identify leaks or any issues, and determine the necessary repairs or replacements.
Conduct thorough investigations to identify the source of roof leaks.
Complete repairs, ensuring they are finished to the highest quality standards.
Learn various aspects of solar maintenance work through on-the-job, safety, and instructional training.
Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues on pre-existing installations for residential and/or commercial customers.
Pull materials and stock the work vehicle for the day's jobs, ensuring the vehicle is kept clean and in order.
Support job safety and crew operations, including staging materials, providing site work support, assisting with site preparation, and cleanup.
Provide regular updates on job status, complete necessary paperwork, and take photos as required.
Act as a point of contact for clients, ensuring their satisfaction, addressing any concerns, and fostering long-term relationships.
Perform other related duties as assigned to support overall project success
Adhere to all of Lumina’s company policies and ensure that all safety protocols are followed
On your first day, we'll expect you to have:
Required roofing experience (Roof Surveys, Leak Investigation, Roof Maintenance/Repair)
Willingness to work on solar systems for Installations, Maintenance, and Repairs
Capability to climb ladders, work on sloped roofs in all weather conditions, and stand for extended periods
Proficiency in safely handling power and hand tools, as well as materials such as ladders, inverters, solar panels, panel boards, batteries, lumber, and roofing materials
Experience and comfort working in attics and confined spaces
Ability to lift 75 pounds repeatedly
Proficiency in using smartphones and tablets effectively for communication, accessing job-related apps and software, documenting work progress, and staying connected with team members and supervisors as required
Proven track record of reliable attendance
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Dedication to maintaining the highest safety standards on every job
Position requires passing a drug screening and background check
A valid driver’s license is required for all positions at Lumina
