Hydro Aluminium Metal a leading supplier of extrusion ingots, sheet ingots, foundry alloys, wire rods and high-purity aluminum with a global production network of around 5,000 employees. Shifts Available and Hours: Daytime
Job Responsibilities:
- Support trouble shooting activities to ensure timely, effective, and efficient delivery of equipment back to the customer.
- Perform routine, emergency, and preventative maintenance on Mobile Equipment.
- Support PM analysis activities for improvement.
- Responsible for actively supporting and monitoring the safety program.
- Troubleshoot forklift problems, electrical and hydraulic system, detect potential problems, safety issues and/or malfunctions. Including the use of diagnostic equipment.
- Identify solutions to correct malfunctions and reduce further breakdowns.
- Able to diagnose and repair mast and attachment components.
- Ability to work on internal combustion engines and systems.
- Replace broken or defective parts from stock parts and / or order replacement parts for repairs.
- Ability to operate hydraulic hose crimping machine and safely install.
- Ability to interpret electrical diagrams, repair manuals as well as schematics.
- Reassemble forklifts and make all necessary adjustments for effective and safe operation.
- Perform safety inspection of forklifts prior to being released back to production.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Good Communication skills. Needs to communicate to all departments, and interaction with mobile equipment operators.
- Ability to operate forklifts, overhead cranes, hoists, and hand tools, rigging.
- Organize and prioritize daily activities for repairs and preventative maintenance.
