The Business Development Manager, Residential HVAC West will be the region's contact person responsible for specific product lines. Responsibilities will include developing and executing product strategies and supporting product applications in Western Canada. This position requires a high level of technical knowledge and a deep understanding of the HVAC industry, as well as the ability to effectively communicate with vendors, customers, and Master internal team members, including the sales teams.
The Business Development Manager will be required to travel occasionally to the Master Group's various places of business to support the sales teams and customers. This position can be based in Burnaby, BC or Calgary, AB.
What you will accomplish with us:
• Participate in the development and execute product strategies that align with company goals and market trends.
• Collaboration with the sales team further enable dealers to achieve or exceed annual regional product sales objectives.
• Develop and deliver product application and sales training to Master and dealer’s sales staff.
• Build relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and industry experts, to stay up to date on industry trends and best practices.
• Support sales team and develop residential product specification market in the region.
• Consult with Supply Chain teams to assist in regional inventory pipeline and level.
• In collaboration with the Master sales team, further develop dealer sales personnel to be proficient in selling/offering products to the residential market in the region.
• Contribute to the creation of and administer Residential Sales Promotional Programs including financing etc.
• Support with creation and collection of market intelligence and marketing statistics.
• Support the sales team in the development of tactical sales strategies and programs for the dealer network.
• Provide continuous feedback on market activity, customer needs and preferences, and use this information to inform product development.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and vendor, to ensure successful product launches and ongoing support.
• Involvement with suppliers to align strategic sales plans.
• Work with Product Specialist and vendors to improve product technical issues, performance, and reliability.
• Work in close collaboration with the sales teams to support sustainable growth maintaining market leadership position in residential markets in the region.
• Provide feedback and influence product pricing and profitability, ensuring that products are priced competitively and meet profit targets.
• Involvement in the marketing of different products including preparation of marketing tools, catalogs, and sales guides.
• Participate in local professional groups, industry associations and functions.
• Travel within Western Canada and conduct meetings with Dealers, TM’s and Branch Directors etc.
• Other duties as assigned.
What You Bring to Our Team:
• A minimum of 7 - 10 years of relevant industry experience.
• Specialized studies in HVAC(R) and Controls.
• Excellent technical skills for both products lines and their application.
• Good sales skills: Ability to convince, both with the sales team and external customers.
• Good communicator with strong interpersonal relations capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Experience with new product development processes, including product ideation, concept testing, and launch planning.
• A strong sense of urgency and sharp customer service skills.
• Autonomy in managing priorities and schedules.
• Demonstrated teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Diplomacy, courtesy, and political acumen.
• Knowledge of Western Canadian market trends and customer needs in the HVAC(R) industry.
