The ideal candidate will be responsible to assist engineering firms with functional specifications into a final design with the selection and application of our HVAC products. This individual will also play a role in promoting and selling HVAC equipment and solutions to mechanical contractors. The role involves assessing client needs, recommending appropriate products, and providing technical support to ensure optimal system performance. The candidate that will join this team will be responsible for representing Master – Business Solutions within the Greater Vancouver Area.
What you will accomplish with us:
- Identify and develop relationships with potential engineering and contractor clients to promote HVAC equipment.
- Analyze these client’s requirements and propose suitable HVAC equipment/solutions aligned with their needs.
- Consult and assist in the design of mechanical projects
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and proposals to clients.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to customers regarding equipment operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms of sale to close deals effectively
- Visit construction sites to evaluate product applications and deal with site issues
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and follow-up actions using CRM software.
- Attend industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events to expand the customer base and foster relationships.
- Attend regular product training sessions
What You Bring to Our Team:
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in an engineering role or technical sales experience
- Bachelor’s degree (or Technology Specialist) in mechanical engineering or equivalent technical sales experience
- Technical sales, engineering, estimation, technical service and support
- Previous experience in HVAC, with knowledge of commercial, ventilation and/or industrial equipment is required
- Self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision individually or as part of a team
- Effective communication/interpersonal, problem solving, decision making, time management and customer relation skills
- Public speaking and presentation skills (technical, strategic and sales oriented)
- Sense of urgency, customer empathy, attention to detail and able to work on multiple tasks
- Hands on design knowledge and experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, etc.)
