MAJOR DUTIES: This position is within the Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), Northwest Fisheries Science Center (NWFSC) with two vacancies located in Seattle, WV. As a Research Fish Biologist/Research Mathematical Statistician, you will perform the following duties: - Develop and support efforts to provide scientific information that supports the sustainable management of west coast groundfish stocks and fisheries. - Execute Research projects and analyses for living marine resources with emphasis on groundfish. - Collect, classify and analyze data for broad and difficult biological and statistical issues. - Modeling and simulation of fish population dynamics.
