The UMass Lowell Climate Change Initiative (CCI) is hiring a Program Associate to work with a cross-disciplinary team of researchers from UMass Lowell’s Environmental Science, Civil and Environmental Engineering, and Rist Institute for Sustainability and Energy, as well as the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) and our community partners in Lowell, Massachusetts. The position will support a Department of Energy (DOE)-funded Climate Resilience Center that takes a community-driven approach to inform and improve resilience to extreme temperatures and decarbonization. They will assist in project coordination as needed, collect and analyze data, lead community engagement efforts, lead and/or contribute to peer-reviewed publications about the research, and communicate about research results with academic peers and the broader public through news posts and online presentations.

This is a Grants & Contracts (MTA/GRACE) bargaining unit position, Grade P15.
This position is contingent upon funding. The initial appointment is anticipated for one-year, contingent upon funding.
