The headquarters of the AXA Group (GIE AXA) brings together our corporate activities. It provides guidance and support to subsidiaries around the world, to ensure the coordination and monitoring of the Group's global strategy, the application of its standards, the consistency of commercial approaches and the sharing of best practices. Within Group Finance Direction, you will join the PBRC department which is responsible for accounting consolidation, financial, sustainability and actuarial reporting of the Group. These missions can be performed for regular closings, forecasting and strategic plan exercises. PBRC works with local PBR units and local Risk Management units within the Finance and Risk Departments of Group subsidiaries.
Within this Department, you will be part of the Group Norms team. The main purposes of the team are to:
· Guarantee the correct application of the IFRS and Sustainability standards used in the publication of Group reports;
· Insure delivering useful and quality financial information, while minimizing implementation costs of new standards;
· Represent AXA by being a trusted and recognized interlocutor, actively intervening on IFRS and Sustainability issues (through representation to various national and international external bodies of experts) such as the interpretation of standards and the orientation of new texts being developed by the regulator.
Your job and daily missions:
JOB PURPOSE
Within the Group Norms’ team, contribute to the change to meet AXA’s ambition on ESG reporting and ensuring AXA meet the evolving regulatory requirements for sustainability disclosure, in particular on scope, qualitative information, lobbying and consistency aspects.
CONTEXT AND MAJOR CHALLENGES
The Sustainability Norms expert will directly report to the head of the Group Norms team in charge of Group IFRS and Sustainability reporting guidance. In this position, you will closely work with the Group Sustainability Reporting (GSR) team, both teams being part of the Plan Budget Results Central (PBRC) department within the Group Finance division.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
· Contribute to the Group-wide implementation of the evolving sustainability reporting requirements.
· Provides sustainability reporting guidance to AXA Group.
· Participates in the production of externally released documents.
· Contributes to the evolution (i.e. the development, the interpretation and revision) of sustainability reporting regulation, standards and initiatives.
MISSIONS
1. AXA Group sustainability reporting
· Contributes to the development, the implementation of the relevant and compliant definitions that support ESG reporting while considering both the specific context of AXA insurance and investment activities, and any subsequent guidance by the standard setters or other legitimate parties.
· Provides expertise on definitions, application rules or methodologies to produce sustainability reporting, mitigating risks and resolving issues.
· Contributes to the drafting of the Group’s sustainability reporting manual and its future update.
· Supports the deliveries of external sustainability disclosures and other internal documents.
· Contributes to the relations with external auditors and significant interpretation questions on sustainability reporting matters.
2. Provide technical advice in the areas of ESG reporting according to major reporting frameworks and standards (e.g., EFRAG, ISSB, TCFD, SASB and GRI) and other ESG disclosures
· Provides sustainability reporting guidance to AXA Group entities worldwide and Group departments with a focus on critical, judgmental and practical implementation questions.
· Contributes to educational/training sessions to internal stakeholders on current and upcoming reporting requirements.
3. Monitor regulatory developments and the best practices in relation to sustainability reporting
· Develop reporting readiness by analysing gaps, assessing how any proposed reporting requirement impacts existing disclosures and determining how to update.
· Contributes to the work performed by working groups of national (e.g., France Assureurs), regional (e.g., CFO Forum and Insurance Europe) and industry organizations and business circles (e.g., Afep/Medef).
· Provide input and feedback to international (e.g., ISSB), regional (e.g., EFRAG) and national (e.g., ACPR) standard setters either on a standalone basis or jointly with industry organizations.
· Engage with peers on practices in relation to mandatory and voluntary disclosure of sustainability related information.
