The headquarters of the AXA Group (GIE AXA) brings together our corporate activities. It provides guidance and support to subsidiaries around the world, to ensure the coordination and monitoring of the Group's global strategy, the application of its standards, the consistency of commercial approaches and the sharing of best practices. Within the Group, you will join the Within the Brand, Communication & Sustainability department, the Group Sustainability team (GST) supports AXA’s long-term strategy with respect to the Group Purpose\: Act for human progress Protecting what matters. This includes steering the Group climate strategy, foster green business and inclusive protection, raise awareness regarding ESG matters within the entities and across the different professional families.
Key objectives for the team include:
·Integrating ESG thinking within the organization through the Sustainability – CR professional families and through the other professional families such as procurement, IT …
·Contributing to AXA’s overall responsible investment and insurance strategies on critical issues such as climate change and the loss of biodiversity, and promoting inclusive protection through offers with a social benefit and/or prevention services
·Reinforcing AXA’s understanding of key environmental, social, and ethical trends in society, helping to envision the role of insurance in society in the future
·Engaging and collaborating with external stakeholders from civil society on issues of strategic importance to AXA’s business (such as NGOs, international institutions and national authorities).
DIMENSION:
The scope is global, spanning AXA Group and its entities in 50+ countries, both emerging and mature economies.
It involves:
·Lead the AXA Entity Sustainability Index (AESI) every year to assess the level of maturity of each entities
oUpdate the questionnaire and scale to reflect the strategy and evolutions needed
oConduct the reporting and ensure accurate results
oPublish results and deliver individual reports to entites
·Management of the Sustainability community across entities:
oImplement a system to ensure all contact information is regularly updated.
oEstablish a structured schedule for bi-monthly calls and annual seminars to foster regular engagement and knowledge exchange.
oEffectively disseminate all pertinent information and resources to the network leveraging different channels
CONTEXT AND MAJOR CHALLENGES:
·Challenge and motivate entities to raise their level of maturity on all the aspects of sustainability
·Capacity to collaborate with other teams and identify the information to be cascaded to the network and in which form (mail, training, new questions in AXA Entity Sustainability Index
·Maintain a close dialogue between Group sustainability and local sustainability leads, support the local teams in the understanding of their contribution to the group strategies and policies
Your job and daily missions:
Within this department, you will support the Sustainability Engagement team in the coordination of different projects:
·Contribute to AXA’s internal reporting on sustainability – AXA Entities Sustainability Index
oPrepare, conduct and analyze an internal reporting to assess the sustainability maturity of 30 entities worldwide
oFind best practices to be shared with entities to support them in their progress
oDevelop innovative ways to disclose the results efficiently
·Contribute to the sustainability network and the ESG community management:
oContribute to the organization of the monthly calls with networks of internal sustainability officers worldwide
oSupport the organization of internal workshops, masterclass, seminars to foster integration of ESG issues in other professional families
oPrepare guidelines for sustainability managers in entities to explain expectations of the new sustainability strategy
·Contribute to the disclosure and communication of sustainability commitments and achievements\:
oContribute to communication plans and elaborate outreach opportunities in cooperation with Group Communication by building the key messages on our topics
oRun benchmarks, identify sustainability best practices from peers companies, organize gap analysis vs. peers, identify new societal trends to be taken into account by the sustainability team
