Summary
Duties and Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable government agency standards and provides guidance on current and proposed environmental regulations. Preparation and submission of regulatory reports and documentation in a timely manner is required. Position will provide leadership and support toward the successful accomplishment of annual environmental goals. Duties will include managing site waste activities including, but not limited to, assisting with waste determinations, completing waste profiling, conducting necessary inspections, maintaining the waste pad inventory, overseeing and coordinating waste shipments, tracking manifests. Manage customer waste inventory and coordinate billing with the Finance team. Other duties as outlined and described in job description.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science or related degree is required with a minimum of 3 years of industrial environmental experience, preferred. Demonstrates effective written and verbal communication skills at all levels within the organization. Working knowledge of Environmental management systems and overall understanding of environmental laws and standards governing the operation of a chemical manufacturing facility. Must be willing to travel to multiple manufacturing sites.
