Analyst, Sustainable Procurement
ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The incumbent contributes to a variety of tasks mainly focused on ESG topics related to vendors and sustainable procurement. S/he is responsible for analysing and reporting ESG data from various sources. S/he ensures the VMP department meets the ESG-related requirements of SES internal stakeholders, including those related to compliance with applicable law (e.g. CSRD).
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS
Contribute to establish sustainable procurement policy, processes and procedures
Assess impacts, risks and opportunities in the supply chain using SES internal and external databases
Set up action plan to mitigate identified risks and remediate impacts
Set up and maintain ESG reporting of SES vendors for internal and external purposes, define frequen-cy and quality of reporting. Work with the VMP Systems and Reporting team to implement reports in the VMP PowerBI where necessary
Set up targets and identify KPIs to track and communicate progress
Define vendor engagement initiatives
Conduct vendor’s audits to track ESG compliance
Conduct vendor performance against benchmark
Track sustainability improvement initiatives by vendors
Contribute to establish and maintain vendor sustainability score cards
Contribute to the creation of training material for VMP team and vendors to raise ESG awareness
Handle ad hoc ESG-related requests from SES internal stakeholders
Liaise with SES ESG team on vendor related topics, as needed
COMPETENCIES
Understanding of sustainable procurement
Experience with sustainable procurement policies, processes and procedures
Ability to develop business knowledge in various procurement categories
Ability to work on own initiative, autonomously and under tight deadlines
Works effectively with the team and with all business partners towards achieving common goals
Proficiency with data analysis, reporting and data visualisation
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
BSc (or equivalent) in Business Administration, Finance, Purchasing or Supply Chain Management, with a strong focus on sustainability
Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position: sustainable procurement and/or supply chain/planning in a corporate environment
A minimum of 5 years of general professional experience
Good working knowledge of SAP procurement to pay processes
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerBI required
Work experience in an international and multicultural environment

Fluency in English (verbal and written)
