Job Summary:
ERCO Worldwide is looking for a HSE Coordinator to join our corporate Health, Safety, and Environmental team! This is a permanent full-time position where the incumbent will be responsible for providing Health, Safety and Environmental (HS&E) admin support with developing, implementing and maintaining the ERCO HSE Management system.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the development of the company-wide safety and environmental policies, procedures and standards to ensure compliance with legislation and in the spirit of the Responsible Care® codes of practice.
- Act as the system administrator for the Incident Management Application (IMA).
- Maintain a data management tool to track and report on Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) and sustainability metrics.
- Support the HS&E training programs through the sourcing and development of materials, as well as tracking and reporting on training status.
- Be a member of the ERCO Safety Committee (ESC), and Environmental Technical Committee (ETC).
- Monitor changing HSE legislation and industry best practices across North America to support compliance and continuous improvement. Assist with internal compliance monitoring of plant performance.
- Maintain and administer the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) management system for ERCO products and supplier products.
- Timely preparation of HSE reports for a variety of stakeholders.
- Other administrative duties as assigned, including minute taking, document creation, filing etc.
Minimum Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Administration Management with a focus on HSE or legal systems or equivalent
- 1-3 years experience in office administration/coordination is required
- Experience with health, safety and environmental management systems is an asset
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office and SharePoint
- Strong organizational and time management
- Critical thinking skills to identify problem areas and take initiative to seek support and apply problem solving techniques
- Self motivated and able to handle working in a dynamic environment
- Team-oriented, works well with others but also able to work independently
- Knowledge of French or Spanish language an asset
