MISSION
- To plan, implement, coordinate, and supervise environmental activities within the assigned projects, as per project complexity, scope of work, company methods, contractual requirements and relevant laws, standards and regulations.
- To support the implementation at project level of the environmental company activities (e.g. bidding preparation, management system maintenance, training, indicators analysis and improvement initiatives)
- To lead and influence coworkers and project teams, including suppliers/subcontractors, in increasing awareness about environmental aspects and impacts
- To support sustainability initiatives within the organization
TASKS
- To define strategy for management of environmental aspects among the project lifecycle from proposal phase to project execution/completion
- To assist company functions and project teams in dealing with Clients in all environmental issues
- To ensure that all HSE activities at project level are carried on in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations, client requirements, international standards, ISO 14001 and company Environmental and Safety Standards, including suppliers/subcontractors
- To support in the analysis of the requirements identified in environmental impact assessment, permit and licenses and to develop all environmental deliverable required at project level.
- To assist project team in Risk Management process for the identification of environmental risks and environmental aspect register (i.e. HAZID, HAZOP)
- To facilitate environmental accidents/incidents investigation, including near miss, and to carry out analysis of accident / incident statistics, identifying trends and lessons learned and suggesting improvement plans at a project level
- To conduct ISO 14001 environmental and legal audits both internal and external (tender and project phases) and relevant follow up
- To ensure, in accordance with the head quarter guidelines, the development, planning, implementation, updating, review and auditing of the Company HSE Management System and its application within the project
- To promote strategies to innovate and improve environmental performances
- To develop sustainability related documents and activities to reduce project carbon footprint (both reduction and offsetting activities) and to improve scope 1, 2 and 3 reporting
- To review Environmental KPIs at project level, including subcontractors’ performance and their evaluation
- To review, implement and amend environmental related requirements in contracts, including permitting
- To manage vessel/fleet environmental needs and Marpol requirements, with a particular focus to oil consumption and waste and chemical management
REQUIREMENTS:
- ISO 14001 lead or internal auditor
- 5 years’ experience in environmental management
- Good knowledge of English language
- Nice to have: knowledge of offshore regulation and sustainability management
