DescriptionThe Sustainable Insurance team aims to establish robust ESG frameworks for P&C and Life & Health underwriting, while also promoting awareness and fostering a culture of sustainable development across the company to support underwriters.
The internship will be conducted within the Sustainable Insurance team.
ResponsibilitiesYou will support the team by addressing a variety of topics, including:
- Researching sustainable development and underwriting methodologies, with a specific emphasis on climate change and biodiversity.
- Analyzing underwriting opportunities and risks, assessing the impact and materiality of various sustainability-related issues such as GHG emissions, deforestation, freshwater usage, and plastic pollution.
- Developing extra-financial indicators and reporting for underwriting portfolios that align with stakeholder expectations.
- Collecting and utilizing ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) data.
Additionally, you will assist the team in promoting an ESG culture throughout the company and support underwriters in integrating these considerations into their work.
Qualifications- Pursuing higher education in business, engineering, or postgraduate studies, preferably with a specialization in finance, insurance, or sustainable development, and seeking an internship within a listed company's underwriting business to complement your studies.
- Proficient in Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of Python is a plus.
- Demonstrates an interest in sustainable development, along with qualities such as rigor, intellectual curiosity, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Previous professional experience in finance, insurance, or sustainable development is a plus but not required.
