Our UK Environment Practice is a vibrant network of approximately 600 people providing world class consultancy and advisory services. We are looking for an individual with practical experience of environmental coordination, assessment and management to join our Planning and Environmental Consenting team in Bristol or Birmingham, where you will work collaboratively with a range of technical specialists on a broad range of projects, assisting with the co-ordination of environmental assessments and other environmental deliverables. Our projects include sustainable energy projects (solar, wind energy and hydro-electric schemes) novel energy storage projects, major motorway junction and other highways schemes, nationally significant rail projects, master planning at MoD sites, infrastructure projects for water companies, including a large reservoir proposal, and coastal defence projects for the Environment Agency.

You will be educated to degree level in an environmental or related discipline, have a good understanding of environmental technical specialisms and will be working towards chartership through IEMA or other professional body. Your Purpose:
- Assisting on the coordination and delivery of environmental work being undertaken by multi-disciplinary teams including EIA, options appraisals and environmental management.
- Contribute to delivering high standards of environmental performance within multidisciplinary engineering projects, influencing project development and delivering optimal environmental outcomes.
- Collate and edit information from a range of sources to provide clear, well written reports.
- Competently undertake own work to an excellent standard on time and to budget and check the work of others.
- Supporting senior management with bid preparation and project management to ensure projects are delivered on-time, on budget and to quality and client expectations.
- Undertake Continual Professional Development in accordance with requirements of chosen professional institute.
What you can bring:
- Degree or Masters in an environmental or science subject.
- Working toward chartership with a relevant professional body.
- Knowledge of environmental management, assessment, and environmental technical specialisms.
Experience of working effectively within multidisciplinary teams. - Strong report writing, verbal and presentation skills.
- Able to prioritise and work effectively under pressure.
- Good interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate issues and ideas effectively.
- Be flexible, adaptable and prepared to take on new challenges and work from other AtkinsRéalis or client office locations.
- Be highly self-motivated, possessing strong enthusiasm and commitment to delivering sustainable outcomes.
