DescriptionElevate your career as Senior Sustainability Consultant at Danske Bank and join us in making sustainable choices more accessible for our personal customers across the Nordics.
At Danske Bank, we believe in banking with purpose and driving positive change. We're seeking a new Senior Sustainability Consultant to continue the transformative process across personal and private banking customers in the Nordic markets.
While a sustainability or finance background is beneficial – especially experience with CO2 calculations/GHG emissions, SBTi and CSRD – what truly matters are your analytical skills and your ability to translate sustainability targets and regulatory demands into business action to meet customers’ demands and societal expectations.
You will report to the Head of Sustainability for Personal Customers and will be working from Danske Bank’s headquarters in Postbyen, Copenhagen.
“We look forward to hearing from you if you are committed to make sustainable choices more accessible for our customers and embedding sustainability in the mindset of our colleagues and stakeholders”.
An impactful role across the organization
As Senior Sustainability Consultant PC (Personal Customers), you will continuously develop and drive projects on the foundation of the bank's sustainability strategy for personal customers and in alignment with our overarching strategy Forward 2028 and our Climate Action Plan. You will become part of a small senior team to achieve sustainability goals, such as a 55% reduction target as per our PC Climate Action Plan roadmap. Additionally, you will:
- Act as SME (Subject Matter Expert) and support commercial activities.
- Analyze commercial opportunities and impacts.
- Climate Action Plan Progress Reporting related to PC.
- Handle Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) reporting for PC in close collaboration with Group Functions.
- Continue our work with Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) in close collaboration with Group Functions.
- Be an input giver to the work with ESG ratings.
- Translate customer needs, regulatory demands, and societal expectations into business action.
Are you the colleague we are looking for?
As an individual you possess a structured and detail-oriented approach while you maintain a keen awareness of the overall context. You enjoy working in an environment characterized by mutual trust and respect among colleagues. Furthermore, you bring a positive and exploratory mindset to work.
Additionally, you bring to the role:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Sustainability, Environmental Management, Business, Political Science, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in roles within sustainability or retail banking.
- Strong analytical skills and expertise with Greenhouse Gas Protocol, CSRD & SBTi.
- Expertise in navigating and driving change initiatives within complex organizations.
- Good stakeholder management skills, facilitating collaboration across different parts of the organisation.
- You also demonstrate the ability to stay informed on market trends, upcoming regulations, and customer insights.
“This is a great opportunity to take part in driving sustainable and positive change. You will work together with committed and skilled colleagues and will have exciting opportunities to learn and grow in ambitious and inclusive collaborations characterized by trust and helpfulness.”
Danske Bank is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We actively encourage applications from candidates of all backgrounds and experiences.
