POSITION SUMMARY:
The Carbon Reporting Analyst will be responsible for the day-to-day management and support of our customers carbon accounting data.
This role will be focused on gathering consumption and carbon data, analyzing, validating and uploading data to our custom-built Carbon Management Platform. The main tasks involve collection and analysis of relevant data as input for generation of carbon emissions data and reporting. The goal is to process, verify and maintain the quality of our client’s carbon emissions data within the Carbon Management Platform.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Working closely with the Carbon Reporting team and the Data Management team the role holder will be responsible for:
- Gathering and validating emission factors and carbon emissions data across Scopes 1, 2 and 3
- Preparing internal quality check reports to ensure accurate data.
- Preparation and formatting of energy and carbon emissions data for generation of formal reporting
- Organization of documentation and construction of audit trails.
- Liaising with suppliers, clients and other third parties to request energy consumption and other required data.
- Support the Carbon Reporting team with data analytics to feed into our client’s carbon accounting strategies and decarbonization projects.
PERSON SPECIFICATION (BACKGROUND AND SKILLS):
- Knowledge of carbon accounting and reporting is essential.
- Analytical skills and numerate ability is essential.
- Data analysis experience is essential, gained through work or academic experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are essential.
- Minimum a Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in the environmental field or other related fields
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work quickly and accurately is essential.
- Strong teamwork skills are essential but also the ability to work independently on projects.
- Strong IT skills and knowledge of the MS Office suite is essential.
