Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform Software testing with SIL and in application for Battery Management System (BMS) software integration. Conduct deep dives for controls software issues to understand root cause and propose potential solutions
- Data analysis across multiple Conformance, Performance and Validation test protocols
- Conduct model reviews in Simulink
- Support Lithium-Ion battery system performance and validation lab tests for software release
- Support Lithium-Ion battery system testing, checking data quality, test result integrity and repeatability.
- Write requirements, procedures, and reports and formally present on test outcomes.
- Communicate technical information to internal and external customers, team members, and suppliers
Education & Experience Required:
- Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace or other Engineering degree
- 2 to 4 years of experience required with the technical skills specified
Required Skills:
- Matlab/Simulink, Control desk
- Strong expertise in tools like CANape, ET, ECM and J1939 communication
- Battery Management systems functional knowledge
Desired Skills :
- Control Systems knowledge including controls design - Knowledge of Software validation tools for unit testing and SIL- Plant Model integration- Knowledge of electrical components, switches, sensors, actuators, solenoids to manage HIL benches- - Embedded software knowledge.
- Knowledgeable of Electrification and EV technologies.
- Knowledgeable of Caterpillar products and previous Engineering experience working with Caterpillar will be a plus
