What You Can Expect
As our Renewable Operations Intern, in Warrenton, NC you will assist in the day-to-day operations of the solar farm, including monitoring system performance and maintenance activities. You will learn how to support data collection and analysis for energy production, efficiency, and environmental impact. In this role, you are expected to participate in site inspections and assist with safety audits to ensure compliance with industry standards. Collaborate with engineering and project management teams on ongoing projects and initiatives. You will help with the documentation of processes and best practices related to solar farm operations. Additionally, engage in community outreach efforts to promote solar energy and sustainability initiatives.
What You’ll Bring
- Currently pursuing a diploma in a technical program studying electrical theory, electrical linework, industrial electrical equipment or an undergraduate degree in Environmental Science, Renewable Energy, Engineering, or a related field
- Strong interest in renewable energy and sustainability practices
- Basic knowledge of solar technology and energy systems is a plus
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work outdoors and perform physical tasks as needed
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Additional Details
- The duration of this internship will be from January 2025 to May 2025
- Interns must be enrolled students in good standing at the commencement of the intern semester
- This role requires attendance at a worksite on a daily basis
- Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/clean driving record; ability to drive to site locations
- Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
- This position consist of 85% of outdoor work, while performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions
Compensation
Hourly Range: $21.00-$28.00 USD hourly
This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.
