THE ROLE
The Junior Commercial Analyst role sits within the Commercial team in WiseEnergy Italy. It is a broad commercial role with a regulatory and contractual focus, in which a technical background within renewables would be highly advantageous.
It’s a permanent, full time role, starting as soon as possible and reporting to the Commercial Manager. The successful candidate will ideally be based in Milan.
KEY RESPONSABILITIES:
- Managing the SPV and/or Company’s interface with respective authorities GSE, ARERA and Agenzia delle Dogane (Dichiarazione di Consumo, Registri di Misure) and other regulators in respect of usual and extra ordinary communications, audits and inspections
- Contract management of solar and other renewable energy technologies. This includes:
- Accurately extracting key information from SPV contracts and populating the company’s in-house contract management software with relevant management information
- Energy sales and incentive management, tracking and associated analysis
- Undertaking operational contract management e.g. PPA, import power, etc. and respective contract tendering, analysing results to optimise costs and contract award with associated obligation management when live
- Maintaining contract obligation compliance and working with relevant stakeholders to ensure compliance
- Managing insurance renewals and claims
- Supporting the company’s in-house ‘onboarding’ process for new sites with a specific focus on understanding contracts, and working with the finance and technical team to ensure smooth transition into Wise Energy / contract management software and management throughout the life of each respective agreement.
- Regulatory and compliance practices relating to assets under construction (Ready to Build activities and pre- Commercial Operations Date).
- Developing the company’s in-house Asset Management Platform (AMP) as required.
- Reporting to the client and internally and externally as required.
- Ad hoc commercial projects
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Time management & prioritization skills - things can get a little hectic, so the ability to effectively manage yourself and your workload is critical.
- Excellent communication skills (in English or/and other European languages) - you must be able to organize your thoughts in a way that others find clear and compelling. You will be expected to together well-written, grammatically correct emails and other communications. When communicating verbally – whether over the phone, on video calls, in person or in meetings – you will need to be articulate, warm and engaging.
- Flexibility - being an effective team player means being flexible in your approach and open to getting involved with new things, even if they are not spelled out in your job description.
- Intellectual Curiosity – Technical Management is a broad and nuanced field, and we are looking for someone who is truly interested in our profession and has the intellectual curiosity to delve deep into topics and bring fresh ideas into the team.
- IT Literacy - you need to be comfortable with IT systems and working with data (you should have at least intermediate-level excel).
- Delivery focus – it may sound obvious, but the ability to proactively churn through work at pace and deliver quality outputs really matters!
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 1-3 years in a similar level role
- Bachelors’ degree minimum (ideally in Engineering or similar discipline)
- Significant regulatory and contract knowledge and experience
- Fluent Italian, business-level English
- Advanced standard MS Office suite, notably Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc
- Strong organisational, change management and business process skills

- Hybrid working – we will need you in our Milan office (San Babila) at least twice a week, but you will normally be able to work remotely for the remainder of the week.
