CCS/UIC Professional –Junior Level Geologist/Engineer – Colorado, Wyoming, Oklahoma, or remote
Trihydro, one of the top environmental and engineering consulting firms in the country, has an opening for a junior staff level professional to support carbon capture and storage (CCS) and underground injection control (UIC) projects. Our growing CCS and UIC practice across the US find us looking to add to our expanding team. We currently have an opening for a professional with a BS in Engineering, Geology, or Environmental Science with 2-5 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities will include: (1) providing evaluation, recommendations, and support for new and ongoing CCS and UIC projects; (2) managing project site and subsurface data research and review; (3) providing technical design and operational oversight support; (4) supporting field data collection, data validation, and data evaluation efforts; and (5) conducting industry and regulatory research, client management, and marketing support. This position will require a mix of field and office responsibilities including travel to project locations across the US. The balance between these two will be determined by the project stage.

Location
The location for this role is flexible based on qualifications of the candidate and ability to travel. (Preferred Locations – CO, TX, OK, WY, NE, OH).
Required Qualifications
Our team is looking for someone who has:
- General knowledge of CCS/UIC permitting requirements and can competently speak to the various technical and regulatory elements
- Understanding of geologic and/or engineering concepts and familiarity with subsurface fluid flow and reservoir characteristics
- Strong capabilities and interest in technical analyses and the ability to provide unique, tailored solutions to complex problems
- Basic understanding of oil and gas wells, UIC well design, pipelines, and/or surface facilities
- Experience interfacing with large project teams and communicating assignment details and results
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, project stakeholders, coworkers, subcontractors, and other project team members; in person and virtually
- Ability to cultivate long standing relationships with clients
- Can simultaneously work on multiple projects
- Ability to travel to client locations, field locations, and other Trihydro offices

The salary information shown below is a general guideline ONLY. Salaries are based on individual candidates' experience and qualifications, as well as location, market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $60,000 – $90,000
