Mid-Level PFAS Environmental Engineer – Lakewood, CO
Trihydro, one of the top environmental and engineering consulting firms in the country, has an opening for a mid-level environmental engineer focused on PFAS assessment and remediation. The ideal candidate will join our Industrial, Commercial, and Energy Services team and assist in providing effective, responsive, and safe solutions to our clients. As an environmental engineer in our technical services group, you will support projects across all sectors of the company. These could include solvent, petroleum, and PFAS remediation efforts involving a range of technologies such as carbon filtration, zero valent iron, ion exchange resin, in-situ chemical oxidation, in-situ bioremediation, soil vapor extraction, groundwater extraction and treatment, and others. Wastewater treatment is also within the project portfolio for this position. Work will include characterization and treatment of PFAS for private and government projects.
The preferred candidate will be based in our Lakewood, CO office.
Required Qualifications

7+ years of relevant experience in environmental engineering

Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering or a similar study area

Course work and lab work involving PFAS

Engineer in Training (EIT) having passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam

Exceptional written and oral communication skills with the ability to interface effectively with clients and project team members

Proven employment history with a commitment to safe work practices, with preference for project experience with PFAS

Initiative and motivation, with an emphasis on completing project deliverables on schedule

Dependability, with the ability to work equally well in team and independent environments

Ability to travel to client sites and other Trihydro offices

Strong interpersonal skills

Fluency with Microsoft Excel and Word

Strong technical and problem-solving skills, including attention to detail and accuracy, as well as a commitment to producing high-quality deliverables
Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in environmental engineering or similar

Professional Engineer (PE) certification

Academic or professional experience with PFAS treatment

The salary information shown below is a general guideline ONLY. Salaries are based on candidates' experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $70,000 – $120,000
