Digital Leader in the power coupling with the Functional Business / Governance Process leaders of our LegalTech solutions. Together with these leaders, who are driving the Governance strategy and digital transformation direction (the What and Why) for their area, the Digital Leader defines “How” and “When” from an IT and technology standpoint.
The mission is to support in defining the IT strategy for these capabilities through strong collaboration, having an excellent understanding of the current and future critical processes, and ensuring that the appropriate digital IT landscape is defined, deployed, supported, and sunset effectively and efficiently. This role is responsible for the overall IT strategy, architecture, and IT solutions related to the assigned sub-practice. This includes how we leverage global IT solutions to scale, developing global / local IT solutions as required by the business.
The Digital Leader owns the IT lifecycle management of LegalTech systems for all current and new technologies related to Governance -Legal. He/she is to act as the primary point of contact of Schneider Digital for the Application/Capability Owners of LegalTech, where coordination is key to the success through effective collaboration of both internal and external IT professionals.
The essence of the role is technology leadership, and the Leader of IT must be able to rally the digital teams & business teams around the technology plan and path for his/her perimeter. This IT leader works with all business technology stakeholders both leadership and subject matter experts to build a holistic, technology agnostic view of the organization's strategy, business and information assets. The candidate takes this knowledge and ensures that the Business and IT strategies remain in alignment. This role is critical to the successful partnership between Schneider Digital and these Global Governance Functions, securing the appropriate IT journey to automate, standardize and improve the digital tools and processes.
Key deliverables of the Digital leader role in Digital Governance Team:
- Accountable E2E for all IT applications & associated infrastructure (Global / Regional/ Local).
- Owns the relationship with 3rd party / technology suppliers; manages the contracts, SoWs, Cybersecurity terms & conditions, DPA (Data Processing Agreement), PO requisition/creation and Good Receipt processes for such.
- Accountable and responsible for license management & compliance.
- Ensures all technology solutions have obtained digital certification and comply to cyber & data protection / privacy requirements.
- Leads LegalTech and acts as the digital side of the “power couple” with process leaders both from strategic and operational standpoints. Ownership of the E2E application landscape to support the LegalTech processes (Technology agnostic).
- Oversee expansion on the use of AI and robotics to increase service/processes automation and operational efficiencies and simplify user experience of tools.
- Participate in solution design, architecture for Governance sub-practice technologies.
- Technical debt reduction (and reduction in #applications).
- Governance of all sub-practice IT projects (Global & Regional priorities), when not directly led by the global team.
- Direct accountability for IT implementation of the global digital and IT transformation.
- Ensure IT and sub-practice transformations are supported and successful.
- Contributes to the IT strategy for the Governance along with the business ambition defined by the Governance domain leaders, closely working with the VP Digital Leader Governance & IT BDO. Define the technology roadmap (move to cloud, upgrades, decommissioning) in collaboration with the Architects and Digital Leaders.
- Generate ideas and solutions to enhance business processes by being an active IT business partner to the sub-practice stakeholders and leaders.
- Prioritize IT resources and manage constraints to maximize the delivery of business value.
- Owns TCO for the entire area, with objective to find synergies and reduce overall IT Run cost.
- Pro-actively works to control the impact of IT spend on the organization.
- Responsible for financial management including budget management and forecasting. Effectively works with other IT and business leaders to ensure realization of both business & IT strategies.
- Implementation of a single delivery model across the globe (Region, DTC, Vendors).
- Establish support & maintenance models for all technologies to ensure business continuity.
- Execute internal administrative processes necessary to execute all responsibilities such IT Asset Lifecycle – demand, acquire, deliver, manage, and retire.
Lead and provide strategic direction of IT systems in partnership with Enterprise Architecture:
- Define the strategy, policies and plans to implement and maintain all Systems, Applications, Server and Network components. Securing the future of the relevant applications through effective archiving, performance optimization, effective database management, upgrade strategy, and Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery Plans.
- Enhance the use of existing technologies and drive scalability and stability.
- Define technology roadmaps and manage day-to-day IT operations and execution of key initiatives in support of the business strategic plan; implement appropriate business continuity and monitoring tools for business-critical applications.
Manage on-going systems support and maintenance:
- Ensure the consistency and maintainability of existing applications by creating, maintaining and enforcing standards/procedures for implementing technical solutions.
- Act as primary point of contact for all associated escalations across responsible applications ensuring effective collaboration with the appropriate teams to ensure timely return of operations and minimal downtime.
- Secure the IT SLA is aligned with the Business needs.
- Manage the E2E solution expertise for assigned sub-practice.
- Ensure project timelines, cost/benefit analysis, and resources have been planned and communicated.
- Guarantee execution and support to the annual IT Audits for applications under responsibility.
Education:
- Master’s degree preferred, minimum bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, business management, information technology or related field
Job Related Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in LegalTech, data management, product management, strategic planning, and/or consulting, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

This role with be ideally based in Boston, MA and will require a hybrid work schedule 2-3 days per week in our downtown office. We will also consider candidates able to work hybrid in our Franklin, TN office.
