Vestas Technology & Operations > Procurement NCE > CPx & Logistics Procurement NCE
We are a diverse and flexible team of focused purchasing colleagues covering Vestas' NCE region (Northern Europe, Central Europe). We enable our construction business to deliver projects safely, on time, in budget, with the right quality by improving supplier selection for critical spend categories e.g., Cranes, Installation teams, Balance of Plant (BOP) and other services related to windfarm construction. As part of the team, you will be responsible for negotiating and handling high value spend for construction projects in the region for specific categories. We are pragmatic, fast, respectful, and never lose track of the big picture.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate Negotiations for Balance of Plant scope in the regions for Wind farm projects(Foundations, substations, civil and electrical works for wind farms)
- Responsible for developing and executing Procurement strategy for the assigned commodities. Supporting definition of requirements / Sourcing / RFQ / Selection / Contracting
- Maintain fruitful relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders: Sales teams, Construction Project Managers and Supply Chain
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve our Safety and Quality performance, reduce the TCO and streamline processes
Qualifications
- Academic degree in engineering (Preferably Civil Engineering)
- Minimum 5 years' work experience in Purchasing or another position requiring professional coordination and business skills related to construction projects
- Proven history of handling high value spends (annual 25 million Euro plus)
- Prefer experience in Purchasing for EPC or wind farm construction projects
Competencies
- Great interpersonal and stakeholder management skills especially working with senior management
- Positive and solution-oriented problem solver, able to work in a cross-cultural environment
- Understanding of FIDIC Contracts
- Ability to priorities and work in a dynamic environment
- Fluent English & German is essential, knowledge of one of the Scandinavian language will be a plus
