The Hamburg-based safety & risk team, part of DNV Energy Systems, supports clients in all kinds of operational risk analysis, developing, auditing and improving safety management and asset integrity systems, as well as managing incident investigations at clients' premises.
To pursue our mission as a trusted voice in the Energy transition and enable our clients to understand and manage their risks, especially involving onshore wind turbines and farms, we are looking for an experienced Senior Consultant being able to work in all or most of our service areas.
The job responsibilities include developing wind turbine-related risk assessment methodologies, bidding for new projects, and delivering projects in the following areas:
- Facilitation of qualitative hazard identification workshops (HAZID)
- Execution of failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA)
- Execution and reporting of quantitative ice fall and throw risk assessments including simulation of trajectories and striking probabilities fulfilling international recommendations, e.g. Task 19
- Execution and reporting of quantitative blade throw, tower collapse, nacelle and rotor breakage risk assessments including simulation of trajectories and striking probabilities covering international legislation.
- Client development and bidding activities
- Execution of internal and external trainings in the above fields

QualificationsWe are searching for a motivated, solution-oriented Senior Consultant with a proven track record of delivering wind-related risk assessments.
To maximize your chances, you need:
- University degree in a relevant technical discipline (M.Sc. degree or similar)
- 5+ years of experience in one or more of the relevant service areas above
- Experience with risk assessments of wind turbines
- Fluent German language skills, incl. understanding of legal and commercial terms
- Fluent English language skills, incl. technical terms
- Proven work experience in the field of risk management; ideally in a consulting role
- Motivated work attitude and client focus
- High commitment to DNV's purpose, vision and values
- Flexibility for consulting work, which can include time working in client offices
- Experience with Phyton or other programming languages to solve numerical problems will be an advantage.
