The Services Department is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our clients' wind farms, ensuring the optimal performance of each turbine throughout its lifespan. The function is to ensure that the turbines operate at their maximum capacity, delivering the best energy production to our clients. As a key team in maintaining long-term customer loyalty.
Part of the Service Department, the Special Projects team brings solutions to address situations that we may have not seen before, of large scale & complexity, high risk, high business impact. It's the team that faces the unknown bringing structure and solutions to the situations we face. Our department confidently undertakes projects of varying complexity, risk, and cost.
Responsibilites:
- At the planning step provide technical inputs for planners, regarding MTTR and Tools/Materials required for blade repairs.
- Prioritize blade damages repairs from Blade Engineering recommendations.Provide 1st level expert technical support to Service, including outsourced manpowerLiaise with other technical staff throughout the company (worldwide) as part of solving technical issues.Ensure correct blade work instruction and parameter settings for windfarms.
- When needed identify spare parts and documentation
- Accountable to perform on-the-job guidance and quality control for blade inspection and repair
- Ensure that all work is delivered in accordance with relevant standards and work instructions
- Ensure that repair work is documented according to requirements and uploaded in CIR (Component Report Platform)
- At the request from Service, liaise with clients to facilitate resolution of technical issues to ensure increased customer satisfaction and support long-term business growth.
- On request from Sales provide technical input to support sales blade repair service.
- Actively convert knowledge into business value.
Qualification:
- Technical education such as Electrical or Mechanical
- An engineering background would be beneficialExperience in the field of blade repairAdvanced PC skills - SAP, Microsoft Office
- Good knowledge of composites
- Good communication skills in English, both oral and in writing
Competencies:
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks;
- Ability to work both with limited supervision and as a part of the team;
- Good pragmatical and problem-solving skills;
- Affinity to work within different systems to identify root cause and document solutions;
- High attention to detail and a solid commitment to quality.
