Trex Company, the world’s number one decking and railing brand, and leader in high-performance, low-maintenance outdoor living products, is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Intern to take part in our summer internship program. You can expect to:
- Be an integral member of a team that drives EHS excellence every day
- Gain hands-on practical experience in health, safety and environmental program management and implementation in a complex manufacturing environment
- Complete projects that have meaningful impact on EHS performance across the organization
- Learn about EHS enterprise systems and how to develop data-driven solutions
- Participate in incident investigations to identify uncontrolled hazards, verify hazard corrections, and monitor the effectiveness of existing hazard controls
- Assist with creation of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and conduct annual reviews of completed JHAs
- Assist with reviewing, creating, and updating EHS procedures, manuals, and supporting documents
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
Applicants must be currently enrolled in a 4-year accredited degree program in occupational health and safety, environmental management, industrial hygiene, ergonomics/kinesiology or related field. The ideal candidate needs to have a strong attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines. This person should be consistently focused on improving Trex’s business needs.

- Must have at least a 3.0 GPA
