Sustainability Reporting Analyst

As our Sustainability Reporting Analyst you will be responsible for keeping track of all our sustainability data as well as leading the sustainability reporting process in order to support the business & sales, while ensuring compliancy with CSRD-reporting standards. The scope captures our full carbon footprint as well as other sustainability KPIs such as our recycling rate and carbon avoidance.
Your main responsibilities as a Sustainability Reporting Analyst
- The data analyst will provide data-driven insights to guide value-for-money benefit realization for specific initiatives as well as opportunities across programs, customer journeys, and end-to-end business processes.
- External collaboration and data collection: You will work closely with external partners to collect and report on recycling rates, CO2 emissions, and the use of water, gas, and biodiversity. You will translate this data into CSRD requirements and provide actionable insights for the sales team.
- Alignment of key metrics and strategic impact: You will ensure alignment on key sustainability metrics and calculate their impact on strategic decisions, both internally and in collaboration with external partners.
- Supporting audits and certifications: You will support the division in sustainability audits and accreditations by delivering clear calculation methodologies on created data inputs.
- You will ensure the creation of new (non-existent) requested data from customers and continuously improve the confidence level of the existing data.

Improvements include mapping our scope 3 carbon footprint, full validation of our entire footprint, rolling out a new CSRD reporting tool and signing up to additional sustainability accreditations. You will be a contact with many key functions at Renewi as well as the agencies supporting us with these projects.

Your new team:
This position will report directly to the Sustainability Manager within the PMI team (Product Management & innovation). Functionally you will report to our Manager Sustainability.
Who are you?
We’re looking for a new colleague with experience with Sustainability KPI’s. You are curious and you like to get to the bottom of things.
Besides that, you are open minded, cooperative and you come up proactively with ideas and suggestions.
In addition to this you will bring:
- 2+ years of work experience in relevant corporate sustainability, sustainability & climate reporting, finance, sustainable finance and/or ESG data & analytics context.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and report writing skills.
- Strong knowledge of computer software applications (MSWord, PowerPoint, Excel & Power Bi).
- Experience with programing languages like Python or SQL is a “plus”.
- Master's degree in business, economics, finance, environmental management, engineering or sustainability
- Hands-on and outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to interact with internal and stakeholders while working in an international collaborative team environment
- A team player, able to work with professionals from different disciplines and cultural backgrounds, while being capable to operate independently.
- Fluent in English (spoken/written). Proficient command of other languages highly valued (Dutch, French, Flemish, etc.).
- Knowledge in LCA (Life Cycle Analysis) and CSRD is a plus.
