As a Solar Consultant, you will engage directly with prospective clients, guiding them through the benefits and the process of transitioning to solar energy. Duties and Responsibilities

Educate potential customers on the benefits of solar energy and the specifics of our offerings.
Conduct in-depth analysis of customer’s current and projected electrical usage and financial return on investment.
Generate leads through networking, referrals, and marketing events.
Prepare detailed, customized proposals that meet specific customer needs.
Maintain strong relationships with customers before and after contract agreements to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
Navigate and utilize CRM systems for tracking customer interactions and sales process documentation.
Attend and actively participate in weekly sales meetings and training sessions.
Overcome technical and business objections of prospective customers.
Execute agreements and collect customer deposits to secure sales.
Participate in local trade shows and fairs to promote the company’s products and gather leads.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding solar installations.
Collaborate with design and installation teams to ensure each project meets customer specifications.
Analyze market trends and competitor activities to adjust strategies accordingly.

Requirements

Proven sales experience, preferably in the renewable energy sector or other high-value product sectors.
Must possess a reliable vehicle for client visits and other field activities.
Demonstrated ability to communicate quickly and efficiently with all stakeholders.
Ability to manage one’s own schedule effectively with minimal supervision.
Strong willingness to travel frequently as demanded by sales activities and client consultations.
Robust work ethic and a driven disposition to meet and exceed sales targets.
Exceptional interpersonal skills and ease at building client relationships.
Background in business, marketing, or a related field is advantageous.
Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to close deals decisively.
Capability to understand and present complex technical information to non-technical audience.
Proficiency in using CRM software to streamline the sales process and maximize productivity.
Strong analytical skills to assess client needs effectively and propose ideal solutions.
Current knowledge of the solar industry and technologies is a major advantage.
Must be open to attending training and development sessions to stay updated with the latest market and technology trends in the solar industry.
