Job Summary
This role demands a visionary thinker with a proven track record of successfully navigating the intersection of strategy and execution.
Key Responsibilities:
• Engage with external companies and strategic partners to identify and explore sustainable & innovative solutions that solve our various sectors’ critical business issues.
• Lead pilot discovery, development and tracking specific to innovation solutions which includes end-to-end project management.
• Successful candidates will support the implementation of high-profile solutions to drive energy efficiency and emissions reductions across pharmaceutical and life science markets
• Coordinates with internal and external research, analytical, and consulting teams to develop sustainability activities and protocols; directs or supports measurement and evaluation
• Deliver training programs and best practices that assist the field with implementing sustainability programs
• Assisting with sustainability and innovative project management tasks including project deliverables, program staffing and budget management
• Manages national sustainability projects and, measures KPIs
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of innovation initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure successful implementation and integration of new solutions.
• Develop and maintain close partnership and engagement with hard and soft service subject matter experts, supplier partners, sourcing and operations leaders to ensure clear understanding of evolving business needs and objectives.
• Work with operations leaders to translate ideas and strategies into successful projects.
• Regularly report on the progress of innovation and sustainability projects to leadership.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to inform the innovation and sustainability roadmap.
• Partner with sourcing team to identify third party supplier innovation opportunities.
• Host sessions presenting new sustainability and innovation opportunities to internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
• Bachelors degree in sustainability, business, communications, or related field
• Desired 3-5 years professional experience in sustainability and project management
• Experience in sustainability strongly preferred, passion for sustainability required
• Strong understanding of environmental regulations and sustainability best practices
• Good analytical skills with a strong attention to detail
• Advanced written and oral communication skills including public speaking
• Strong presentation and time management skills; strong management and outstanding interpersonal skills
• Ability to travel required
