We are looking for someone with a few years of experience working with environmental assessment and EIA for roads and railways. You have experience in managing the EIA process. You have worked as a technical manager within the environment, coordinating environmental issues with other disciplines, and leading a team of environmental handlers. If you have experience in various stages of infrastructure projects such as planning stages, compiling request documents (RFQs) for procurement, construction/implementation stages, that would be a positive since there is a high demand from our clients for projects in all these stages.

Your new role
As our new Senior Environmental Assessment Manager for Infrastructure Projects, you will be part of Ramboll's global effort on environmental assessment and EIA and contribute to sustainable urban development. You will assist our clients with projects at different investigative stages, from planning in early strategic studies to permit evaluations and support during design and implementation. Your base will be at our office in Stockholm, with the possibility to vary your routine with partial remote work.
You will play a key role in leading environmental assessments in our projects, where you, together with a project team, will design and deliver sustainable solutions to our clients in Sweden and globally. You will be part of Impact Assessment East which consists of about 25 employees in Stockholm, Uppsala, and Luleå. You will work in a dedicated team aiming to create sustainable solutions for the future, with colleagues from a variety of backgrounds and experiences contributing to an inclusive work environment.
We work on projects of varied size and complexity. Our clients are both Swedish and global, coming from the private and public sectors. Our three units within Impact Assessment Sweden: East, West, and South, work closely together. We also collaborate closely with many other units and disciplines within Ramboll. As Ramboll is a large global company, there are excellent opportunities to work with colleagues and clients internationally. Our current projects are conducted within offshore wind power, environmentally hazardous activities, water operations, infrastructure plans, and municipal plans, among others.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Leading and coordinating environmental assessments and EIAs in the planning processes for roads and railways
- Guiding an internal project team towards goals, schedules, budgets, and results
- Engaging in dialogue, communication, and consultations with clients, authorities, and other stakeholders
- Contributing your expertise and experience and sharing knowledge with junior colleagues Contributing to the team's and Ramboll's collaborative efforts and development
About you
- To thrive in the role as a Senior Environmental Assessment Manager and contribute to our work, we would like you to have:
- A Master’s degree in the environmental field such as environmental science, biology, civil engineering, or equivalent education
- A few years of experience in project management/technical coordination within EIA for planning processes for roads or railways
- The drive and commitment to work with sustainable urban development
- Understanding and willingness towards business-mindedness and building trustful relationships with clients
- Strong communication skills and the ability to express yourself both verbally and in writing in Swedish and English
