Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Environment Health and Safety (EHS) professional to join our dynamic team at Caliber Connect HR Services. This full-time, mid-level position is based in Navi Mumbai, Mumbai Suburban, Thane. The ideal candidate will have 4 to 6 years of relevant work experience and will play a crucial role in developing and implementing EHS policies and procedures to ensure safe working practices.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience in conducting thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement control measures.
- Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory compliance standards and the ability to ensure adherence to occupational health and safety laws.
- Capability in emergency response planning and coordination to effectively manage crisis situations.
- Experience in developing and delivering safety training programs to raise awareness about EHS practices among employees.
- Familiarity with environmental management systems and practices for sustainability and environmental protection.
- Strong skills in incident investigation to analyze root causes and prevent recurrence of workplace accidents.
- Expertise in occupational health practices, promoting workplace wellness and preventing work-related illnesses.
- Proficiency in conducting safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive EHS policies and programs tailored to organizational needs.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety policies and legal requirements.
- Provide expert guidance and training to staff on EHS best practices and procedures.
- Collaborate with management to set EHS goals and objectives, and track progress against these benchmarks.
- Lead investigations into workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses; prepare detailed reports and implement preventive measures.
- Manage emergency response initiatives and ensure effective crisis management plans are in place.
- Monitor EHS performance metrics and prepare reports for management review.
- Engage with regulatory bodies and external stakeholders to maintain compliance and foster positive relationships.
