The Environmental Manager oversees the temporary environmental controls enacted during a Modernization project at Tinker Air Force Base. The Environmental Manager is directly responsible for coordinating on site compliance with federal, state, local, and installation requirements during construction projects.

- $80,000-$100,000 per year
- Exempt
- Ensures compliance with Hazardous Waste Program requirements (including hazardous waste handling, storage, manifesting, and disposal)
- Implement the Environmental Protection Plan (EPP)
- Ensures environmental permits are obtained, maintained, and closed out; ensure compliance with Stormwater Program requirements
- Ensures compliance with Hazardous Materials (storage, handling, and reporting) requirements; and coordinates any remediation of regulated substances (lead, asbestos, PCB transformers)
- Ensures waste segregation and storage compatibility requirements are met; inspect and manage Satellite Accumulation areas
- Ensures only authorized personnel add wastes to containers
- Ensures onsite personnel are trained in 40 CFR requirements in accordance with their position requirements
- Coordinate removal of waste containers
- Maintains the Environmental Records binder and documentation, including environmental permits compliance and close-out
