We are currently seeking a Sustainable Innovation Intern who will report to the Sustainable Innovation Manager at our Material Innovation Lab (MIL) in Milan, Italy.
Job Description
Your opportunity
You will be an integral part of the Material Innovation Lab (MIL). The MIL provides the Group’s Houses and key suppliers with resources, tools and new solutions to help them understand how to make more sustainable choices in their products’ development. As part of our team you will provide knowledge and technical support on sustainable materials (textiles, trims, non-woven) to the Brands. The scope of work includes maintaining up to date MIL collection of innovative and sustainable materials (the “library” and the “database”), strategic support to integrate sustainable materials into products and technical support to define and identify sustainable materials.
How will you contribute
- Support the manager to identify novel sustainable materials and processes, and in handling project advancement as needed.
- Support the manager to assess the innovation landscape of the textile sector enquiring technologies and innovators.
- Support the team to cure and update the innovation section of material library for Brand reference.
- Support the daily implementation of innovation projects providing technical and communication expertise.
Who you are
- A College or University graduate in scientific and/or environmental disciplines;
- Knowledgeable of the innovation material trends or sustainability aspects of the textile industry.
- Environmentally aware and passionate for innovation.
- Proactive, organized and accountable.
- A good communicator, cooperative and flexible.
- Adaptable to a multicultural context.
- Fluent in Italian and English, both written and spoken.
