GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (GZA) is currently seeking a Environmental Project Manager with 8 to 15 plus years of experience to support our growing environmental site investigation, remediation, and compliance practice in our Lansdale, Pennsylvania office. The ideal candidate for this position is a seasoned environmental consulting professional with the motivation and desire to foster technical excellence and strong client relationships.
As an Environmental Project Manager, you will work with a staff of interrelated professionals dedicated to providing high-level expertise on complex projects above, below and at ground-level. You will successfully execute all aspects of projects under the guidance of a company Principal. You will also represent GZA with the client throughout proposal, contract, and project performance phases, be responsible for day-to-day execution of technical and financial aspects of each project, be involved with marketing activities and networking events, and mentor and train junior staff. Our Project Managers have ownership opportunities with the firm, participate in profit sharing, and have the potential for advancement to principal levels.
What You Will be Doing:
- Managing project team, delegating to office and field staff, and executing daily project activities
- Conducting internal and client communications
- Monitoring team performance for compliance with contractual agreements and budgets
- Providing business development support
- Preparing proposals and reviewing/writing environmental reports with Principal guidance and review
- Managing project contractual and financial issues (including terms of agreement, changes in scope, billing process)
- Managing and mentoring GZA existing staff of project-level scientists and engineers
- Conducting/reviewing technical analyses/calculations
- Participating in meetings and agency consultation
- Conducting site compliance inspections

What You Will Be Bringing:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Geological/Hydrogeology or Environmental Sciences (advanced degree is a plus)
- Strong knowledge of contaminants fate and transport
- Experience at consulting engineering firms and knowledge of applicable laws and regulations throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey (experience in adjacent states is a plus)
- Self-starter, able to complete tasks with minimal supervision and direction
- Possess the ability to maintain strong and consistent outreach to clients
- Demonstrate professional judgment, consistency, strong attention to detail, and background of high-quality work products
- Demonstrate performance of independent analysis, problem solving and strong organizational skills
- Strong understanding of field sampling and investigative protocols
- Experience conducting Phase Is, Phase IIs, and remediation oversight
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Experience with statistical review of data
- Experience preparing reports that demonstrate technical knowledge
- Strong interest in safety
- Possess or have completed 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training
- PE/PG/LSRP or other professional registration strongly preferred
