Your Responsibilities as an Environmental Project Manager:
- Manage a diverse portfolio of environmental projects, in alignment with Division, Region, and company financial and profitability goals.
- Projects can include environmental due diligence, subsurface investigations, remediation, vapor intrusion, UST removal, and compliance sampling/reporting.
- Drive project performance including safe project implementation, effective use of staff and subcontractors, delivering on client expectations, meeting project financial metrics.
- Provide senior level technical review and support for a diverse portfolio of projects including proposal development and report preparation.
- Effective understanding of applicable rules and regulations
- Mentor and train scientific staff in developing quality work product.
- Actively source for new business opportunities with support from Division Leadership.
- Champion safety and the safe performance of project work.
What we're looking for:
- BA/BS (MS Preferred) in Environmental Science/Geology/Engineering or related field.
- 8-12 years of solid technical, project, and client management experience.
- Professional license, PG or PE preferred.
- Proven, pro-active project management experience.
- Experience in Georgia and neighboring states preferred.
- Ability to mentor and train staff.
- Excellent technical communication skills and strong attention to detail.
- Strong professional network in Georgia and Southeast.
- Ability to travel to Apex offices and client sites and participate in strategy development.
- Excellent safety record and understanding of safe work practices.
- Valid driver's license, good driving history and reliable transportation are required.
