About the Role:
As an experienced HSE Advisor, you will have the opportunity to be considered for a range of upcoming opportunities within our existing and growing client base. To be considered for this role, you'll need a Certification IV in Health and Safety or equivalent, experience in a similar role, and strong knowledge of HSE legislative requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments, hazard identification, and implement effective control measures.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive safety training programs for employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Create and maintain emergency response plans, and coordinate emergency drills.
- Monitor and assess environmental performance, implement strategies to reduce the environmental impact of our activities, and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Conduct regular safety and environmental audits, inspections, and document findings.
- Maintain and update safety and environmental documentation, including policies, procedures, and records.
- Promote a culture of safety, environmental responsibility, and continuous improvement.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications, such as a Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety.
- Several years of experience in health, safety, and environmental roles, preferably within a related industry.
- In-depth knowledge of Australian health and safety regulations, environmental laws, and industry-specific standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train, advise, and interact with employees and stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in safety and environmental management software.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and provide leadership in promoting a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
