What you will be doing
The Project Management Analyst for ESG Reporting is responsible for executing ESG data reporting projects, ensuring timely completion within scope and compliance with regulatory standards. This role focuses on leading cross-functional teams, developing project plans, and optimizing resource allocation to enhance efficiency. The lead collaborates with stakeholders across all SNL divisions to align reporting requirements with organizational objectives while implementing standardized, automated solutions to reduce manual data entry. Additionally, the position ensures compliance with IFRS Sustainability Reporting Standards and coordinates audit processes, making it essential for achieving corporate sustainability goals. Strong project management and leadership skills are critical for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management and Oversight (Lead ESG Reporting Initiatives: Direct the ESG Reporting Team to ensure data accuracy, timely submissions, and compliance with standards, Performance Monitoring: Assess team performance regularly to uphold the integrity of ESG and financial data, Resource Optimization: Utilize project management best practices for effective resource allocation, budget management, and timeline adherence, Cross-Functional Engagement: Collaborate with stakeholders across divisions to align projects with strategic objectives and ensure timely milestone achievement).
- Process Improvement and Compliance (Enhance Reporting Processes: Drive standardization, centralization, and automation of ESG data collection and reporting, Innovative Solutions: Implement new technologies to improve data accuracy and reduce manual inputs, Track KPIs: Utilize performance metrics to monitor project progress and adapt plans to meet or exceed objectives).
- ESG Reporting (Upload data in Microsoft Sustainability Manager on behalf of data providers located elsewhere, Calculate metrics, Validate metric calculations for completeness and accuracy, Prepare statements: prepare tables with data (QtD, YtD, variances against prior periods and budget/targets, including collecting statements to explain variances, align with sustainability SMEs), Prepare internal ESG reporting, Deliver reporting and collect feedback, Prepare external ESG reporting, Assist ESG reporting director in preparing general disclosures, Assist ESG reporting director in preparing EU-taxonomy disclosures, DMA results consolidation).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business and Finance, or related field. PMP certification, lean/six sigma belt is an advantage.
- 3-5 years of project management experience in sustainability, ESG reporting, or corporate social responsibility, preferably in logistics, shipping, manufacturing, or finance.
- Proven ability to lead and deliver cross-functional projects focused on sustainability initiatives and process optimization.
- Strong track record in preparing and analyzing ESG reports using established frameworks, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements.
- Expertise in managing and validating large data sets related to sustainability metrics and performance indicators, with a focus on data integrity.
- Proficient in data management tools (e.g., Microsoft Sustainability Manager, Oracle) for effective data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Solid understanding of financial principles, with experience in budgeting and forecasting related to sustainability projects.
- Knowledgeable about environmental regulations and compliance requirements for ESG reporting.
- Strong collaborative skills to engage with stakeholders at various levels, driving alignment and advancing sustainability objectives.
