About this role:
Our vision is to drive leadership in sustainable real estate across our global organization. As a global real estate owner, we recognize we are in a unique position to lead the transition to a low-carbon economy. The Sustainability Analyst will support Manulife Investment Management’s Real Estate Sustainability team with the development and execution of the sustainability strategy for specific initiatives, setting and monitoring targets, reporting, capacity building training, and program implementation. The Analyst will spend time with global colleagues across the Real Estate business including investment management, legal & compliance, and marketing. The Analyst will work on multiple projects at one time employing a range of skillsets.
Responsibilities:
- Support portfolio-wide sustainability initiatives and programs, including building certifications, health & wellness, climate risk & resilience.
- Support reporting initiatives including GRESB, PRI, TCFD, CDP, real estate’s annual sustainability report and other industry and client reporting as needed.
- Provide analytical and project-based support; develop and maintain project timelines, trackers, and management updates to support sustainability initiatives.
- Support the collection and maintenance of data systems, including the review and analysis of sustainability-related data (e.g., building certifications, energy and water consumption, waste production, GHG emissions, and sustainability-related activities) and maintain indicator protocols to ensure data consistency preparing for audit/assurance.
- Respond to sustainability data requests on assets (e.g., utility information, tenant engagement, building certifications, efficiency projects) and work closely with property and asset management teams as required.
Qualifications:
·3+ years of experience in data analytics, programming, utilities management, sustainability, real estate, consulting, project management
·Bachelor’s degree in engineering, data systems, business finance or environmental management, sustainability, or real estate
· High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data management
·Basic understanding of greenhouse gas emissions reporting is an asset.
·Familiarity with global Green Building Certification programs
·High attention to detail with proven abilities in data analysis, trending, auditing & statistical analysis, ideally within Real Estate or sustainability

Salary range is expected to be between
$74,000.00 CAD - $111,000.00 CAD
