The Sr. EHS Specialist is responsible for supporting SCIEX’s Global Chemical Management and Shipping Compliance, and sustaining our EHS programs at our SCIEX HQ in Massachusetts. Hone your EHS knowledge and skillsets through participation in Global internal and external health and safety audits. Expand your EHS professional career through routine travel to other Danaher Operating Company sites (Beckman Coulter, Cytiva, Pall, Leica, Cepheid) in your journey to certify as a Danaher Hazard Control Certified Practitioner (CP). This position is part of the Global EHS Team and will be located onsite at Framingham, MA (site to be relocated to Marlborough, MA beginning in May of 2025).
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Partner with our SCIEX Leadership, Facilities, and Property Management to lead EHS Programs including Controlled Substances, laser device registrations, Emergency Response, Hazardous Waste Management, and Business Continuity at our Massachusetts Headquarters.
- Effectively collaborate with all levels of SCIEX management, cross-functional teams and employees to establish and maintain product EHS Programs (hazard identification, concern reporting, bloodborne pathogens, hazardous substances), reduce risk, continuously improve the safety culture and evolve an EHS Management System that promotes performance excellence.
- Manage chemical inventories through Chemical Management System ACTIO, including reviewing and approving incoming chemical requests Globally to ensure regulatory compliance (i.e. TSCA).
- Conduct risk assessments (i.e. air permitting, local compliance) of chemicals and assist project managers in the design (i.e. formulation) and development of new products throughout product lifecycle as a member of our New Product Development team while monitoring federal, local and international regulations (i.e. PFAS, Methylene Chloride) to ensure worldwide product compliance programs are designed, developed, implemented and maintained.
- Partner with District Managers and Global Service Management to support North American Field Safety programs, investigate injuries, review safety complaints and support in identifying field corrective actions.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or science-related field.
- 5+ years of EHS-related experience in high-tech industries with R&D, engineering and manufacturing operations.
- xperience in classifying chemicals / chemical mixtures for transportation worldwide.
- Experience with data management systems (i.e. Oracle, WorkDay) including pulling of reports, analyzing data, and inputting data.
- 5-10% travel nationally and internationally.

The salary range OR the hourly range for this role is $82,400 - $113,300. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
