Summary:

If so, we are seeking a Retail Inventory Control Team Member to join our team. As an integral part of our retail department, you'll play a key role in guest experience by creating positive shopping environments, managing stock levels, and maintaining accurate inventory records. This position involves more than just the record keeping aspects; it involves engaging with guests, forecasting stock needs, and maintaining a friendly and enjoyable shopping environment.
Essential Job Functions:
- Receive incoming shipments and adhere to procedures including counting, ticketing, and distribution of receipts.
- Organize and clean stock rooms, ensuring inventory is priced and easily accessible.
- Assist with inventory control, reporting discrepancies to appropriate supervisor, and participate in preparation for scheduled physical inventories.
- Support sales floor staff by determining stock needs and replenishing as needed.
- Reticket merchandise.
- Maintain security of receiving area and stockrooms.
- Read, interpret, and record inventory data.
- Provide customer service to guests, including maintaining a positive and inviting store environment, answering questions and providing assistance.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year of related experience.

Reporting Structure: Reports to Retail Store Manager, Retail Supervisor.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a seasonal position that regularly requires flexible hours including weekdays, holidays, and weekends including early morning, daytime, and evening hours to provide coverage during Zoo hours of operation.
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee primarily works indoors and outdoors in various retail locations on Zoo grounds. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, chemicals and vibrations. The work environment is fast-paced and may involve exposure to warmer or colder temperatures. Employees should be prepared to work in a busy, moderately loud, and dynamic setting. Employees are frequently required to walk across Zoo grounds, and stand for long periods of time.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk and hear. The employee is constantly required to use hands and fingers to feel, handle or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
